Stocktake tender with February 2008 deadline suggests NSW Treasury plans sale of Macquarie Generation Bayswater and Liddell Power Stations

It appeared Macquarie Generation was preparing for a sale, in a Request for proposals 85/2007 for a fixed asset and inventory stocktake. Macquarie Generation, the state owned corporation, is New South Wales’ largest electricity generator and the owner of Bayswater and Liddell Power Stations, located in the Hunter Valley.
The physical stocktake and reconciliation of all its fixed assets and inventory was planned at both its Power Stations and its Corporate Office…which must be completed during February 2008. The Macquarie Generations proposal document outlining the scope and conditions in relation to this proposal are available for download from http://www.macgen.com.au. Detailed written proposals must be lodged in Macquarie Generation’s tender box at 34 Griffiths Road, Larnbton before 2.00 pm Tuesday 16th October 2007. The proposals will be evaluated after the closing date and one or more organisations may be requested to make a formal presentation to a review panel before a final decision is made as to the successful proposal.
